We are excited to announce the return of Vallillee Family Lawyers’ Youth & the Law Scholarship for 2021!
Our scholarship is intended to provide a grant of $1,000 to an individual who will be attending post-secondary school this fall, and who has overcome a personal challenge as a youth with the Canadian or a provincial justice system which could include having been in conflict with the law (criminal charges), a personal experience of involvement with a Children’s Aid Society/Family Services, homelessness, or other difficulties with social or justice systems.
To protect the confidentiality of our applicants due to the sensitive nature of many of their experiences, we will only be publishing the winner’s initials or first name (depending on their preference) and the type of program they will be attending, alongside a short message that they provide. We will not publish the winner’s full name, the name of their school, or what their personal experiences were, so any qualified individual should feel safe and at ease applying.
Please review the eligibility criteria and terms & conditions for this scholarship by clicking here. Current clients of our office and any other parties who have been associated with current or past litigation that our office has been involved in are not eligible for this scholarship and should not submit information to our office.
Application Deadline: 11:59 pm Eastern Time (Toronto/London, ON) on Monday, August 23, 2021.
