Eric Vallillee, B.A., J.D.
Managing Lawyer
Eric is a family law, divorce, and child protection lawyer in London, Ontario. He is also an agent for the Children's Lawyer for Ontario, and acts as children's counsel both in CAS matters and in domestic family court for the Office of the Children's Lawyer.
Eric completed his undergraduate degree in legal studies and history in 2012, followed by his Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in 2015. During law school, he worked for the Canadian Legal Information Institute and a community legal clinic. He completed his articles, was called to the bar, and worked as an associate in Toronto before moving to London. He then worked as a criminal duty counsel lawyer advising individuals arrested overnight, while also practising in family law working with a well-known London family law firm prior to opening his own law office.
Eric is well-versed in matters involving custody, access and parenting orders, child and spousal support, divorce, property issues, and CAS/child protection cases. He has assisted clients in obtaining police assistance and enforcement orders, as well as temporary injunctions to prevent the abduction of children by air travel, and worked on numerous cross-border files involving young children. His legal writing has been cited by the Alberta Court of Appeal, by senior counsel in facta submitted to the Supreme Court of Canada, and by the Law Commission of New Zealand.
Eric has appeared in courts across London and Southwestern Ontario, as well as in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, Durham Region/Oshawa, Milton, Orangeville, Kitchener, and in Ottawa.

Chioma Adiele, LL.B, LL.M
Associate Lawyer
Chioma holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from a reputable Nigerian University and a Master’s degree from Western University in London, Ontario. Before joining Vallillee Family Lawyers, she articled at a well-known full-service law firm in London, Ontario, practicing with experience in several areas of law, including family law. She also practiced law outside Canada for many years and is a practiced litigator.
Chioma is a first-generation Nigerian immigrant who is actively involved in the Black community in London, Ontario. She dedicates her time and her voice to various initiatives to promote the interests of the members of her community. She is fluent in both English and Igbo language. She enjoys listening to afro-beats, trying out new recipes, and spending time with friends and family.
Chioma has experience in child abduction, parental alienation, child and spousal support, custody and access, equalization of property, and divorce matters, and also accepts legal aid certificates for domestic and child protection family court matters in London, Ontario and St. Thomas.

David Vallillee
Law Student & Clerk
David is a second-year law student at Western University. He previously completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in law and legal studies at Carleton University.
David was previously our full-time law clerk and office manager before returning to law school, and he has extensive experience with drafting and filing pleadings, providing front-line client services, and office management. He is also a licensed pilot who flies for animal rescue charity Pilots4Paws (and click here to see the Math on the Move video he made for the TVDSB!), is has published two children's books, and also operates a small business outside of office hours, so he certainly empathizes with our clients as they try to balance their day-to-day lives with being involved in the court process!
He is dedicated to helping our office run smoothly and helping to make the court process as easy as possible for our clients.
Kirsten Helgason
Law Clerk
Kirsten obtained her Honours BA in History and Political Science followed by her Master's degree in History from Wilfrid Laurier University, and gained extensive legal support experience in several Ontario law firms before joining Vallillee Family Lawyers as our clerk. She works closely with our lawyers and directly with clients to ensure that cases run smoothly from start-to-finish, and is ready to help ensure that your matter moves through the court system as efficiently as possible!
Fiza Sharma
Articling Student
Fiza obtained her Honours BA with a specialization in politics and a certificate in Public Administration in Law at York University before completing her Juris Doctor degree at Western University's Faculty of Law. She passed the bar exam in June of 2023 and is completing her articling year with our office before she's called to the bar in 2024. She enjoys working directly with clients under the supervision of our lawyers, and attends court on behalf of our clients to ensure that cases are scheduled and move ahead as efficiently as possible. She looks forward to working with you on your file!
