We are very excited to announce that this year we will be trialing a brand new scholarship program called the Family Law Office of Eric Michael Vallillee Youth & the Law Scholarship! This scholarship is funded privately by the Family Law Office of Eric Michael Vallillee.
Our scholarship is intended to provide a grant of $1,000 to an individual who will be attending post-secondary school this fall, and who has overcome a personal challenge as a youth with the Canadian or a provincial justice system which could include having been in conflict with the law (criminal charges), a personal experience of involvement with a Children’s Aid Society/Family Services, homelessness, or other difficulties with social or justice systems.
To protect the confidentiality of our applicants due to the sensitive nature of many of their experiences, we will only be publishing the winner’s initials and type of school program they will be attending, alongside a short message that they provide. We will not publish the winner’s full name, the name of their school, or what their personal experiences were, so any qualified individual should feel safe and at ease applying.
Depending on the quality of this year’s submissions and the success of the program, we may continue this scholarship as an annual program in future years as well.
Please review the eligibility criteria and terms & conditions for this scholarship by clicking here. Clients of our office and anyone associated with current litigation that our office is involved in are not eligible for this scholarship and should not submit information to our office.
