Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Every person in Ontario has a right to equal access to legal services and to the Courts.

We are pleased to represent and work with individuals from all manner of backgrounds, religions, and cultures. Eric is proud to serve other members of London, Ontario’s LGBTQ community. One of the questions that we sometimes get asked is whether getting a divorce for a same-sex couple in London, Ontario is any different than it is for straight couples. There is no difference in the legal process, and you won’t be treated any differently by me, or by my staff. We value you. You are entitled to the same legal remedies as any other couple, and you are entitled to the same courtesy and respect that any client should expect from the Courts and the legal profession. The same applies to you whether you are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or of any other faith or are not religious at all.

We are committed to treating all of our clients with the respect that they deserve. Whether you need help with a divorce, you’re dealing with the Children’s Aid Society, or you are being taken to court by a spouse or an ex-partner, we are pleased to offer our services to you without regard to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or religion and with a recognition of the specific challenges that you may have faced.

For Clients with Accessibility-Related Needs

Our office is accessible with elevator access and a fully accessible entrance from the visitor parking lot that can be found on Clarence Street. We regret that the older office building we are in only has stair access at the front doors. If you are visiting our office for a mediation or meeting that is taking place in a boardroom, please inform us of any accessibility requirements that you may have so that we can ensure that all necessary arrangements have been made in advance. If you require the services of an interpreter, please inform us in advance so that the appropriate service can be arranged.
